Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery, and it is thriving throughout our Nation, including right here in Washington State!
The solution to this complex social problem requires more than increasing efforts; it requires increasing impact.
How?
Through a Washington Engage Coalition Against Trafficking, which is holding its first meeting on Wednesday, March 12 at the Des Moines Activity Center.
Through uniting grassroots activists and organizations in a community Coalition Against Trafficking (CAT), Washington Engage channels their collective strength, multiplying their impact. The prevention of human trafficking becomes collaborative, sustainable, and adaptable to each community?s needs.
You are invited to Des Moines CAT Information Gathering! Come and be part of this effort to prevent human trafficking in Des Moines!
Police Chief Delgado will also be speaking to the community about trafficking at this event.
